About the Conference

St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, established in 1844 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), is one of India's oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education. Affiliated with Bharathidasan University, the College has a distinguished legacy of over 180 years in imparting quality education, promoting research, and fostering holistic development. It was affiliated with the University of Madras in 1869 and has consistently evolved as a centre of academic excellence and social commitment.

The College has earned national recognition for its outstanding academic standards and institutional excellence. It is accredited with the highest NAAC A++ Grade (Cycle IV), recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE), and has been conferred Special Heritage Status in recognition of its rich educational legacy. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the College is ranked 25th among colleges in India, reflecting its sustained commitment to quality education, research, innovation, and societal engagement.

stablished in 1983, the Department of Computer Science at St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli has been a pioneer in computing education, consistently aligning academic programmes with evolving industry and societal needs. The Department introduced the B.Sc. Computer Science programme in 1983, followed by the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and Applications (PGDCSA) during 1984–1985. Notably, St. Joseph's College became the first Arts and Science College in India to introduce the MCA programme, marking a significant milestone in computing education. To address the growing demand for internet and cyber technologies, the Department launched the M.Sc. Cyber Technology programme in 2000–2001.

Guided by its motto, "Towards Professional Excellence," the Department has earned a reputation for academic excellence, research, innovation, and industry engagement. Over the years, it has successfully organized numerous national and international conferences, faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars, and technical events that foster research and professional collaboration.

The Department has a strong academic and research ecosystem, with faculty members holding Microsoft certifications in Artificial Intelligence and cloud technologies and actively contributing to NASSCOM initiatives. The Department also collaborates with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) training partners to promote industry-relevant learning, professional certification, and emerging technology research.

As the host of SACET 2027 – International Conference on Sustainable Artificial Intelligence, Computing and Emerging Technologies, the Department is committed to organizing a conference that meets international academic standards. The conference will feature an internationally diverse Advisory Board and Technical Program Committee, a rigorous double-blind peer-review process with a minimum of three independent reviewers per paper, distinguished keynote speakers from academia and industry, and extensive global dissemination through professional societies, research networks, and international collaborations.
